While the spotlight goes to the upcoming EA Sports FC 24, the new form of the “FIFA series” that we once knew, there is something new on the horizon. The long-anticipated “2K football” is coming, but it’s not exactly what you’ve been expecting. The new football game in question is another spinoff of the LEGO video game series and seems to be getting closer to a release. After being classified in South Korea, the game was dubbed LEGO 2K Goooal! Was also listed in Taiwan. The records reinforce the possible revelation of the football title, although there are no further details presented.
LEGO 2K Goooal – The highly-anticipated 2K Football? Not exactly
According to Taiwan’s game rating website, the game will reach PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC. The game is free for all ages, as usual in the LEGO series. Obviously, it is listed as a Sports Game. So players should expect a true football game experience. The difference is that we’ll be playing with LEGO characters, and we can expect some special elements from these games to appear on LEGO 2K Goooal. Don’t think this will be a simulator like EA Sports FC or eFootball. The game here probably will bring an “Arcade” experience with funny elements and gameplay mechanics from other LEGO games.

The rumors indicate that LEGO 2K Goooal! Is being developed by Sumo Digital, the same developer behind Little Big Planet. However, until the moment, 2K did not expose many details about this. We expect to hear more details about the game in the near future. It’s the latest step given by LEGO to diversify its offerings in the video game. After years of sticking with movie-based or hero-based games, the LEGO Ip is now diving into different gaming genres. Recently, we saw the launch of LEGO 2K Drive, and now we will see LEGO 2K Gooal. What comes next? LEGO 2K Fight? Let’s wait and see.
While LEGO 2K Drive is already out for players, LEGO 2K Goooal Remains a mystery. To put more heat on the rumors, 2K is supposedly working on a third game for the LEGO series. This one could present a new vision for hero themes.
